Separation & divorce

Endless repeating doorways.

When you can’t make peace with what happened, make peace within yourself.

I understand how hard it can be to go through the emotional and practical storm of separation.

You want to move on, but you can’t let go. You want to feel safe, but everything feels uncertain. You long for life to be ‘normal’ even though you know change is your only choice.

But I know that you are able to find peace, steadiness, and strength, regardless of how hard it’s been, and how unknown the future feels. I would love to help you experience that peace when you need it most.

You can book a free call with me to share your story and learn how I can help.

Ann empty leather armchair softly lit by light through the window.

“I felt completely lost and bewildered. Gabs not only helped me feel calmer, but she showed me how to do that for myself too. Things are still complicated for me, but I don’t feel overwhelmed anymore. I feel…deeply OK.”

Find Steady Ground

12 weeks of one-to-one support through separation and divorce.

My Steady Ground coaching programme is designed to help you find steadiness and calm during one of the most stressful periods of your life – not by making difficult emotions disappear, but by changing your relationship with them.

You will learn how to feel fear without being ruled by it. Anger without acting from it. Uncertainty without endlessly trying to resolve it.

So that even while life remains unfamiliar, perhaps unfair, you can think more clearly, make decisions from a steadier place, and begin to trust yourself and the path of your life again.

Most importantly, you will come back to yourself.

How we will work together

We meet privately online once a week for 12 weeks.

Each session starts with where you are that day. We talk about what's happening, what you're feeling, and where you're getting stuck.

From there, I create a practice specifically for you.

It might draw on meditation, breathwork, visualisation, movement, yoga nidra, or deep rest. I'll record it for you to use between our sessions, and you'll have support from me throughout the week as you work with it.

This isn't a set of techniques to learn or a programme to perform.

The work happens through experience.

Rather than talking about what it might be like to feel calmer, you experience yourself returning to steadiness. Again and again.

Eventually, you know how to find your way back for yourself.

12 weeks of deep 1-1 support

Every Steady Ground programme is shaped around the person I'm working with, but there is an underlying progression.

First, we find steadiness.

You begin by learning how to be present with difficult thoughts, feelings, and sensations without becoming overwhelmed by them.

Then, we loosen the hold of what has happened.

Not by forcing yourself to let go, forgive, or move on, but by becoming less dependent on answers, certainty, justice, or another person's actions in order to feel OK.

Finally, we integrate and look forward.

We bring together what you've discovered so that the steadiness you've experienced becomes something you know how to access for yourself – long after our work together ends.

I've spent more than a decade helping people work with their inner experience through yoga, meditation, breathwork, and deep rest.

I'm the co-author of The Book of Rest, published by HarperCollins, and my work is also informed by my own experience of separation.

I'm not a therapist. What I offer is practical, experiential support that helps you discover what happens when you stop trying to think your way to safety and begin to experience it for yourself.

This isn't about reinventing yourself. It's about coming home to yourself.
