A number of years ago, I separated from the father of my two children. We were also business partners and co-authors, with our lives deeply entwined – personally, professionally, and financially. It was a dark and difficult period, and aspects of that situation continue to present challenges today.

As a long-time yoga teacher, I turned to the practices I knew best – and gradually refined them – to regulate my nervous system, find moments of calm in the chaos, and maintain physical strength and health through one of the most demanding times of my life.

Those pose practices helped me stabilise, rebuild, and move forward. I now feel steady and strong, and I’m proud of the life I’ve rebuilt. I pivoted well.

Today, I design and offer wellbeing practices that support others through the pain of relationship endings, while also opening space for the positive possibilities that can emerge from change.

My work is always mind–body focused – this is my difference. When life is overwhelming, thinking harder or analysing everything can sometimes make things worse. The breath and the body can become a sanctuary: a place to return to when words and logic fall short.
